Welcome to my world of impactful research, advocacy, and leadership! I am Sharon Birdi, a dedicated professional with a passion for driving positive change in healthcare. As a Research Coordinator at St. Michael’s Hospital, I lead projects at the intersection of social determinants of health, healthcare-system performance metrics, and responsible AI. My extensive experience includes co-leading eye-tracking studies, developing ethical guidelines for machine learning in population health, and contributing to peer-reviewed publications. Beyond research, I've played a key role in policy-making as the Associate Vice-President Academic at Western University's University Students’ Council. Through my work, I aim to bridge gaps, promote equity, and leverage technology for the betterment of society.
